Game Notes

Same as it ever was.

As we return to the beautiful campus of Lindenwood University, we again find the state championship road going through MICDS/SLUH. In a rematch of last years title game SLUH will be looking to end MICDS' streak of 3 state titles. Both teams are loaded on offense. However defensively  these units are not as dominant as in years past. Ball possessions, faceoffs, and clearing will be huge as whichever team has the ball will score and score a lot.
MICDS comes in hot after a stomping of "rival" JBS 17-5 in their quarterfinal match up. The Rams have not lost an instate game in at least 3 years. Paced by Sophmore first team all state face off man Nico Feldman handing them the ball at near a 70 % clip, the Rams potent offense is clicking on all cylinders. With Gaines Bundy back to his normal vibe after a few rough games, little brother Graham having a record year, Thomas Neidringhaus finding his role, Harold being Harold, and Alexander Feldman having more options to feed after a revamped offense, the Rams are vibing. Also in the past two match ups Sluh has run a zone at times vs the Rams. Look for Country Day to get their shooters time/room off cuts and off ball picks if faced with the zone.
Junior Will Perryman will be looking to have his best night in order to tilt the scales toward the UHigh. After suffering a severe high ankle sprain in his best game of the year Friday night vs CBCHS, senior Jimmy Tramelli is out for this evening. Perryman is more than ready but the loss of Tramelli is huge for the Jr. Bills. Fellow senior Anthony Hughes has been a monster on the face off wing in the past 5/6 games and will need to continue as such. Will Farroll has set the record for points for SLUH this season. Alongside Charlie Carse and Pat Howley the attack has stepped up in the past few games. However consistency issues were still showing in the quarterfinal game vs CBCHS spotting the cadets a 6-1 lead. Jerry Howe is poised for a breakout game after several great chances on Friday night fell by wayside look for him to try and get on the board early. This UHigh team have been the heart attack kids all year but that will not work tonight. The Jr. Bills must come out ready to play. If they spot Country Day a cushion from the jump it will be very tough to comeback from.

My call
13-9 MICDS
